Associate – Commercial Disputes

Experience Level: 2–4+ years PQE

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a leading Commercial Disputes team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious matters, often with an international element, while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role
You will advise and represent clients in a variety of commercial disputes through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Matters may include:

• Contractual and commercial disputes
• Public law disputes (including judicial review and procurement litigation)
• Professional negligence
• Injunctions and reputation management
• Contentious insolvency

You will also support senior lawyers on substantial matters, manage your own caseload, and contribute to business development and client initiatives.

Experience Required

• Qualified Solicitor with 2–4 years PQE
• Broad contentious experience across commercial disputes
• Insolvency experience beneficial but not essential
• Ability to take on responsibility and manage files independently where appropriate
• Strong client focus and service delivery commitment
• Drive, enthusiasm, and a flexible, proactive attitude

Key Responsibilities

• Advising and representing clients in complex disputes
• Handling caseloads efficiently and meeting agreed targets
• Supporting partners and senior colleagues on larger cases
• Participating in client training, seminars, and marketing initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with firm procedures and professional standards
