Associate/ Senior Associate (6+ years PQE) (12 Months FTC)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious solicitor to join a top-tier medical negligence team renowned for handling complex, high-value cases and representing clients who have sustained a life changing injury.
This role offers the chance to work in a team alongside experienced practitioners in the field, supporting them on challenging and life-changing litigation. The team is consistently recognised by leading legal directories and is known for delivering exceptional client service and results.
The Role
- Conduct initial client consultations, assess case viability, and review supporting documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, solicitors, Counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly explain fee structures and provide regular cost updates throughout the case.
- Draft legal documents, including reports, statements, and letters of advice.
- Instruct and liaise with experts and Counsel as required.
- Prepare disclosure lists and trial bundles.
- Conduct litigation proceedings.
- Demonstrate experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
- 12 Months FTC.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) ideally (6+ years PQE).
- Strong technical skills and a genuine interest in medical negligence.
- Excellent communication, client care, and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to learn.
- Delegate tasks effectively to junior staff and paralegals.
- Set clear expectations and provide structured guidance.
- Offer regular feedback, coaching, motivation and mentorship.
- Support team development and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
- Involvement with disability related charities preferable.
