A highly regarded and growing regional law firm is looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Disputes Associate Solicitor to join its established Leeds-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to take on high-quality work, manage complex disputes, and play a key role in the continued growth and strategic direction of the department.
The Role
You will handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters for a diverse client base, including local, national, and international clients. Alongside your fee-earning responsibilities, you will contribute to business development, team supervision, and departmental strategy.
This role offers genuine scope for progression and the chance to take on leadership and management responsibilities as the team continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of high-value commercial disputes
- Acting as a key fee earner with responsibility for financial performance
- Supporting and supervising junior team members
- Contributing to business development, networking, and client relationship management
- Playing an active role in shaping team strategy and growth
- Maintaining high standards of client care and regulatory compliance
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with strong post-qualification experience in commercial litigation/arbitration
- Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
- Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
- Experience or interest in mentoring and supervising others
- A proactive and driven approach to business development
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
