A leading organisation in the security and facilities management sector is seeking a commercially focused Legal Counsel or experienced Paralegal to join its in-house legal team. This is a newly created position working closely with the recently appointed General Counsel, supporting legal matters across the business.

About the Role:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing legal support across the group. It would suit a newly qualified solicitor or experienced paralegal with a strong foundation in commercial legal work, looking to develop their in-house career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts and service agreements.
  • Support on matters involving intellectual property, data protection (UK GDPR), and commercial disputes.
  • Advise on issues relating to commercial property where relevant to operations.
  • Liaise with internal departments including operations, sales, HR, and finance to provide commercially focused legal input.
  • Support management of external counsel and ongoing litigation or real estate matters.
  • Maintain and update legal templates, risk registers, and internal policies.
  • Provide general legal and administrative support to the General Counsel.

Requirements:

  • UK legal qualification (either a qualified solicitor or experienced paralegal with strong commercial experience).
  • Solid experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial contracts, commercial litigation, or commercial property.
  • Previous legal experience gained in the UK is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with a pragmatic and commercially minded approach to legal advice.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams in a dynamic environment.
