Private Client Fee Earner

Role Overview

A well-established, client-focused law firm is seeking a Wills & Probate Solicitor/Legal Executive to join their growing Private Client team.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, providing expert advice in wills, probate, estate administration, powers of attorney, and Court of Protection applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Run your own private client caseload involving wills, probate, LPAs, Court of Protection, trusts, and estate administration.
• Draft wills and powers of attorney.
• Apply for grants of probate and administer estates.
• Advise clients and beneficiaries on estate distribution, inheritance tax planning, and related legal issues.
• Liaise with clients, executors, trustees, and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
• Demonstrable experience managing a diverse private client workload (wills, probate, LPAs, Court of Protection, trust/estate administration).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong client-facing ability.
• Strong organisational skills and case management ability.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Client-service focused, maintaining regular updates and timely progress reports.

Qualifications

• Solicitor (SQE/LPC) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX); STEP qualification or working towards it is a plus
