Wills & Probate Fee Earner

An established and highly regarded law firm in Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Fee Earner to join its busy Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable individual with solid experience in wills and probate matters to take on a varied caseload and play a key role in a supportive team environment.

Location: Ripley, Derbyshire
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience, plus discretionary bonus and benefits
Employment Type: Full-time or part-time considered

The Role
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of private client work, including:

• Drafting wills
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection matters

You will be expected to work independently, build and maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to departmental initiatives. The role also offers the opportunity to supervise junior staff and support firm-wide development activities.

Key Requirements

• Experience managing a caseload of private client matters
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Confident use of case management systems and legal technology
• Empathy, discretion, and professionalism in client-facing work
• Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements including GDPR and AML

Who Should Apply
This position is open to experienced Paralegals, Solicitors, or Chartered Legal Executives with a demonstrable background in private client law.
